When I thought about creating a blog, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to call it. I wanted it to be a reflection of the season of life that I am in, but I didn’t really know how to describe this season. You see, recently I just moved back to the states after living overseas for a couple of years. I am learning to re-adapt to my “home” country and process the loss of leaving my “host” country.
In January, I went to the Central Coast in California for a weekend to process and debrief my time overseas. I spent sometime making a collage of key words and pictures of what I thought God was showing me for this season.
When I was done, I knew the Lord was telling me that I needed to take this next year to rediscover the things that I forgot that I loved, do the things that I have always wanted to do and reconnect with family and friends on a daily bases. That I needed to take this year slow, to learn and be ok with the questions that have yet to be answered. Also not to forget the things that I learned while living overseas.
I wanted this blog title to reflect everything the Lord was showing me that weekend, and I wanted it to be done in ONE word.
Google translate this word as; bring back (a previous right, practice, custom, or situation); reinstate.; return (someone or something) to a former condition, place, or position.; repair or renovate (a building, work of art, vehicle, etc.) so as to return it to its original condition.
The Lord was telling me that I needed to restore the things that I had forgotten, lost or that was broken.
So here is the blog!
